Amazing Race 7 next weeks episode is India

Now they have done Africa next week's episode is India so might be of interest to some, then we can see where they will head next into Asia, worth watching or setting the VCR for! We get it here in Thailand on AXN ( UBC 19 for any local here, it's 8 pm on a Wednesday evening BKK time )

Darnit!! We are going to be in Holland for the next 2 episodes..so probably won't be able to see it...Our VCR died and when we get back we are going to get a DVD recorder so we didn't bother fixing it..I wonder where they are going in India...

Any guesses on what the next city is? It looks like Calcutta again - they did that in the last season (or was it the one before that).

I hope they do another city in India.

You can go on the CBS web site and find out all of the information including a map of the past and future destinations. Unfortunately, it seems you are a couple of episodes behind in Thailand.

actually, Asia gets the new episodes of the current season and airs it the next day. You must be looking at old seasons on the website because they never show future destinations on the website for the show.

I think it airs Tues pm EST? We get it Wednesday evenings local time, at the end of the show they show excerpts from the next and they quoted Meredith and Grechen getting an ovation in India, as to which towns don't know.

rv224 - you are right, my Google search brought up Amazing Race 5. I don't actually watch the show but will tune in next week, having just returned from India a month ago.

Just a reminder that Amazing Race goes to India this week so maybe interesting for those heading that way. I think it is Tuesday nights in the US but not sure.

We would have gone for the coal. Nice to see familiar faces from Survivor, Rob and Amber - this is our first time Amazing Race. Moghul architecture, rickshaws, cows - brings back memories - must tune in next week for the camels.

I think they will have a 2-part episode for this leg. There will be no pit stops for the first part and they will have to continue the India leg on the second part. First for the amazing race where no pit stops for a particular leg.

OK I haven't seen the show but what makes you say that India looks "bad"?

I am planning a international trip for December and have narrowed the search down to Vietnam and India. We have already been to Thailand and several parts of Africa. We are independent travellers and love the adventure of third world countries.

The show has been to India quite a few times now, mainly because of how "difficult" it is to get around over there, and of course, this presents a good challenge to the racers. All the racers have usually described India as the toughest place, mainly because of it's mass overcrowdedness, living conditions, etc.

Possibly true. I missed the show too. But it is overcrowded, esp. the cities. However if you are touring the country, you go to the less crowded, tourist spots. So it is fairly fine.

Almost similar to no one vacationing in Manhattan or Chicago. Everyone heads to the Canyons or Florida for vacation

I think it could also be said "Is India as amazing and exciting as shown on the Amazing Race?"
The answer would be yes.

Although not relatively easy to get around it is simply a different way of life, the reason you always see so many people is that more people simply are 'out and about' and of course remember that with the TV crews there it is bound to be a major attraction, most would have though a movie was being filmed and people would have been trying to see the movie stars!
