i like AAC limo in bangkok....alternatively the airport now has its own limo service called AOT which is quite nice...
i have never been in a taxi or limo in bkk that was not very clean...even some of the very old ones are well kept up even if the upholstery is worn..
nothing like a usa cab....!!!!

Book the car service through your hotel. This way, you will know the rate in advance--and the charges can be added to your hotel bill. This assures that you will pay the rate that to which you agree, and the car service will be accountable to the hotel.

Booking through the hotel is certainly safe and usually reliable, although it's also the most expensive option, since hotels in both cities tend to charge two to three times the limo service rates for airport transfers.
Really, there's almost no reason to use the limo services in either city, unless you are a small group or have special needs.

I like www.julietaxi.com in Bkk. IN Hanoi try booking thru www.exotissimo.com - we used them on our trip and the transfer plus a whole day in Hanoi was $30.
