Tonkin Tours charges $18 for a driver to pick up two people from the airport and take them to the Hanoi Elegance 5. Is that a reasonable rate or should we just get a taxi at the airport? Thanks

There's a controlled airport taxi service with fix fare and I think it's around $10 - 15 to the center of town. The $18 does sound reasonable IMO.

The hotel will send a driver for $16.00 (at least that's what we paid last year), so $18 isn't out of line. The airport is pretty far from town (about a 45 minute drive).

Yeah, I think $16 is what we paid last year (Elegance #4 - Ruby). Generally speaking, we found that letting the Elegance people arrange things for you is a good idea.
