Air Asia - FREE FLIGHTS
Apparently the catch is that you pay the taxes. Seems like a a good deal...I found a flight for two to Chiang Mai for $30 total...is that good?

Air Asia runs these specials periodically. Just be aware that Air Asia has very limited baggage allowance (and charges for overage) and that it is a budget airline - no assigned seats, if you miss a flight you have to buy a new ticket, etc. But of course, the price can't be beat!

We have used Air Asia several times without problems (I know they can run late but personally over a number of flights we have been lucky). The luggage is not that limited its 15 kilos verus 20 kilos and they only charge 80 baht per kilo (for 'fd' inter Thailand flights) excess baggage so ultimately its only costing 400 baht (US$11) to get the standard 20 kilos. Even adding this amount to the price of a ticket Air Asia is usually always significantly cheaper than the other carriers partiuclarly if booked well in advance.

Taxes on Air Asia are not terribly high. Pretty standard. I have flown them several times without a hitch and I was never over the luggage weight limit.
I find it to be a good airline. Doesn't bother me a bit that seats are not pre-assigned.
