Air Asia does not fly direct to Bangkok from Japan and you will have to fly to Malaysia first and re-checkin with your luggage and boarding pass before flying to Bangkok. You are almost doubling your travel time vs flying direct.
However, if you are looking for a one way ticket then they might be the cheapest.

You didn't say if your trip would be 1 way or RT. If it is RT you may find a cheaper option on any of a number of airlines, including the one you're using to fly into Narita. It's hard to advise you without knowing that or the dates.
