i have just been browsing another site and see that the holiday inn on silom has rooms with 2 queen beds....this has long been a conversation here for 4 persons in a room or with children....not sure what they allow but this site had lots of rooms with 2 queens in them....

Hi Bob. I checked holiday-inn.com and their room type description says:2 QUEENS EXECUTIVE CLUB NONSMOKING - 3 PERSON(S) MAX PER ROOM
Same in the Club Tower.
I posted some pictures of my room there at http://www.billk.org along with other photos of Thailand. The HI photos are at the bottom of the page. The room was on an exec club floor. I know you've inspected those rooms before. You're staying there in May?

I'm staying at the HI in mid May & have reserved a room with 2 queen beds. We reserved via IC Hotels since we have platinum status. The operator said they do have 2 bed rooms, hoping that to be the case when we get there. Will respond with a report when I return at end of May!

Bob- We were upgraded free from standard to deluxe by simply showing our PC card in Dec 2004. We'd booked via priceline. HI did not offer the Club floor upgrade as we arrived at midnight & were checking out at 6am! US24 is pretty cheap for a club floor upgrade. We paid US43 in Singapore in March.
