Would you recommend Korean Air for a long haul flight?

I am thinking of traveling Korean Air from New Zealand to London (return) with a night stop-over in Seoul on the way. Has anyone travelled this route with Korean Air? Or what are people's thoughts on the airline in general? Flights with Singapore Airlines are around $100 more expensive.

Assuming you are talking about economy class, I think Korean is the equal, or better than Singapore.

If the route is direct enough and the price is right then I would have no hesitation flying Korean.

I've used them from US to Seoul and the long flight (14hrs each way) was better than other long flights I've taken on Lufthansa, UA, or American recently.

Singapore is Star Alliance and Korean is Sky Team Alliance. Are you from New Zealand? If so you may want to stay with a Star Alliance carrier. I flew Korean and those flight attendants keep the bathrooms cleaned. They even had one toilet for women only. Food was excellent, entertainment was excellent, but there wasn't any wine with dinner.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll give Korean ago. I have flown Singapore many times and have always had great experiences so if these guys are just as good, that's great.

Korean is getting the A380 soon and the seating in economy will be a very generous 34 inch pitch.

This is largely standard across their long-haul fleet. I think most of their coach seating is 33" to 34" of pitch. Among the best in the industry.
