Which (if any) airlines offer an adoption rate?

I'm checking to see if anyone knows of any airlines that offer special adoption rates, particularly for couples making last minute travel plans.

We will be traveling from the US to Korea soon to adopt a baby. Someone told us they thought they had heard of at least one airline doing so.

Just checking ...

Hello TribeLeader. In seeing your post I immediately went to www.google.com and typed in the search box
Airlines That Offer Adopotion Fares.

Several websites came up. Here is one.

http://adoption.about.com/od/interna...optionfare.htm

May I suggest that you also go to Google and do the same, no doubt you will receive needed information.

And congratulations to you two on the adoption of your little one! May you three have a beautiful and long life together filled with many joys.

Thanks for your help.

I had done a brief search and read mixed things. I'm curious if anyone here has any experience with checking into them.

I'm pretty sure my friends got a special rate on Northwest Airlines when they adopted a daughter in China several years ago.

Don`t know about Korea, but friends who adopted in China had the whole thing already arranged by Chinese officials. Is there a similar plan in Korea?

What does your adoption agency recommend? Or adoptee parent groups in your community?

Northwest has special rates. Here is the link with information on their requirements:

Congratulations and the best of luck!

Thanks, all.

We got the call this past week. And as it turns out we just booked through Northwest using their adoption rate.

It wasn't much of a discount (compared to online rates) but it seemed to be our only option since we had to book through the airline to take care of the return flight with the infant.

Thanks, again!
