If your list is correct, isn't "solid lip gloss" a lipstick and/or a chapstick type? Has anyone else travelled from LAX to Europe in the last day or so and can verify this? Or maybe it will depend on the Security person you have check you through? I'm not trying to be frivolous (as cracked lips are preferable to being dead) but it's the little things in life that make things bearable. My usual little "creature comforts" traveling bag for long flights contained - small pillow, eye drops, hand lotion, lipstick, water, toothbrush/paste and a Tylenol PM tablet to help me sleep. I suppose all these are now no-no! Wishful thinking - but maybe the restrictions will be slightly less in a couple of weeks?

oldebrit, unless you are flying to UK specifically, you should be able to bring quite a bit of what's on your list. The pillow, toothbrush, lip balm, and tylenol PM are fine. I'm still going to bring my toothbrush--even if I don't have toothpaste a little scrub is better than nothing!
My understanding is that solid chapstick and lipstick (the type in a swivel-up tube) is fine now. It's the squishy-sided tubes that dispense a more gel-like balm that are the problem.
If you have time, you can also contact your eye doctor and get some prescription eye drops maybe? I know it says no eye drops, but on the TSA site it says you can have up to 4 ounces of essential non-prescription medications. So my guess is there's a little room for interpretation.
Re: lotion: I am going to try bringing aboard some moisturizing cleansing wipes (picked up a pack at the chemist, will leave it unopened). Also will try saturating a few cheap makeup sponges in lotion then storing themin a ziploc bag. If that doesn't work...well in a pinch you can use your lip balm on your hands. Better than nothing. Or bring a plain vitamin E stick to do the same.
