Sorry, please note that jeans come in various grades and weights. Some of a garments inital weight consists of the products used to improve their saleability. Jeans will lose weight when washed. Think, stone washed. The most attractive female I saw in town yesterday was wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans, black stockings, high heeled black pumps and carrying a small black purse. She also wore a gold necklace and designer style dark glasses.

<<I like being tall other than when looking for new clothes.
I am going with mostly black and white with a few colors thrown in.>>
I'm with you on the difficulty of finding tall sized clothes. However, I would beware of having "mostly white" tops.
I rarely spill anything on my clothes -- unless I'm traveling and wearing white -- it's like a food/wine magnet. I ruined two good white shirts on a trip last year. I had done the same thing years ago and forgotten about it but won't do it again. I did not bring white on my spring trip this year and spilled absolutely nothing.
If you're wearing black bottoms you can use any color for tops. A couple of print blouses would work too.
I don't agree that you can pack for two climates using a 22" suitcase. If you need tall sized pants they do take more luggage space than small sizes and your shoe size is probably larger than most too. I do agree with Suze that a 24" should be adequate though.
Wherever you're going, have a great time.

We send our laundry out when traveling or find a laundry that has same day drop off service. I do wash out bras and panties in the sink, but I don't wash anything else in the sink. Laundry service is one of those luxury expenses that we think is worth the money in order to pack lighter and not spend vacation time washing clothes.
