Tahiti Nui to Paris

I'm considering flying Tahiti Nui from West Coast to Paris. Anyone have experience with this airline? Comparison with American?

Thanks!

we flew air tahiti nui to papeete for our honeymoon (in coach, sandwiched in the middle section of the plane).

it was a great airline in terms of service, new fleet, good food (for a plane!), nice amenities at your seat, etc.

however, the mid-section in coach is CRAMPED. i would rec getting seats at the window (we flew in the rear 2x2 on the return flight). how long is the flight? ~13 hours? that's a long ways.

ps, we ALWAYS fly AA when possible, but i would *definitely* fly air tahiti nui again.

Lynne--thanks for replying! Will definitely try to book two two's if we wind upgoing with TN. According to American, we can use FF miles on Tahiti Nui and it offers a non-stop to Paris versus American with a stop at JFK and a change of terminals.

An update: We flew Air Tahiti Nui at the end of August from LA to Paris. We were in coach 2X2, seats were tight, service was good, food a cut above coach fare on American airlines.
