It's official--Silverjet ceases operations and will no longer honour reservations from 30 May.

Check their website

As was the case with previous all-biz failure, BA is offering "special" fares for Silverjet ticketholders.

If you've flown outbound already,
London-NY is £617, NY-London $1155
London-Dubai £900, Dubai-London AED7295.

BA also is supposed to have special fares for SJ ticketholders who had not commenced their journeys yet.

These are Club World, fares NOT including taxes/fees.

I thought this would have to happen soon; Maxjet, Eos, now this. I'm curious as to what will happen to L'Avion.

L'Avion has some codeshare agreement with BA. My guess is that BA will buy them up for cheap and fold it into their new OpenSkies operation.
