Seating advice for El Al

I checked Seat Guru and they don't display El Al's fleet. I then surfed around Seat Guru looking for a plane with an identical configuration to my flight on El Al and I found some very similar ones, but none exactly like mine. Is there another site that tells which seats are good/bad for long hauls?

PM...Just had an interesting conversation with my TA this week...about: EL AL.....One of his coworkers had a family of 4 leave 3rd week in December.DFW-JFK-MAD-TLV.The connex in MAD was Iberia to ElAl.The 4 were indeed confirmed. They were issued boarding passes for the ElAl flight in Madrid.Like all fellow passengers, they made the descent in the Madrid Airport to identify that their bags in fact were being transferred as scheduled. All is well. They get to the gate for the departure of the ElAl flight to TLV.The gate agent is scanning the BP's AT THE GATE...She informs the father that their seats had been given away. They were in fact bumped. They were rerouted thru FRA, lost 1 full day of vacation time.To make matters worse, to this day, ElAl has offered not one clue as to what possibly could have happened.Just passing this on.Take care.

Thanks rkkwan.

BeachBoi, YIKES!! That is scary. The good news for me is that I'm flying from JFK to TLV, so God forbid if I should get bumped, they do have later flights that same evening. But how awful for that family, I hope they will be compensated somehow.

Sorry. Wrong link.

It should be seatexpert.com

I've met the guy who runs that site. It's just one guy, so singular.

rkkwan, thanks for posting back, that second link gives me what I need.

Jed, I never expect courteous service when I fly, so I'm never disappointed.

>Don't expect curteous service

I've flor LY on several occasions. Maybe not courteous service (which I don't expect anymore from most airlines on coach class anyway), but at least I found them efficient. Actually like their Israeli breakfast with hot bagels much better than other airlines soggy omlettes w/potatoes.
The new TLV airport is amazing, more civilised check-in with people actually queuing! No more bus gates!
