RKKWAN help!!
Dear Rkkwan, you recently helped me with seeing what the plane interior was like for my upcoming flight.
I have now managed to change seats to Row 17 A&B near front of plane (Boeing 767-300 er)
can you give me another link (i.e.photo) to see this part of the plane.

Perhaps RKKWAN was refering to www.seatguru.com - I've used it in the past for help in determining which seat to choose. Hope this helps...

Thanks Rkkwan and others, i have looked at those sites.
Need 1st hand knowledge of are row 17a & b good seats they are preferred seats?have looked at airline.net but could not find a pic of this part of the plane?
just need to know have i done right thing in moving from row 36 A&B to row 17?
also seatguru has the wing starting at a different row than delta site, who is more reliable for plane config

I think you made a good choice. Those three/four rows 16-19 should feel a little bit like it's own cabin, the way it is layed out. You'll almost have your own private Loo, because most economy pax will be hitting the lavs at rows 19&21, won't they.
I'm going to make a guess that the Delta diagram is probably truer to the location of the wing. Reasoning is that on the seatguru diagram the exits at rows 20 and 21 empty out onto the forward edge of the wings, esp. row 20. Could see people running out the row 20 exit, taking two steps, and falling to the ground.
OTOH, the side view of the plane at delta dot com shows the wing behind an exit door.

Take a look at this photo:

You'll see a big gap in windows, which is the closet and lavatory behind BusinessElite. Then you'll see a single window, which is for Row 16. From Row 17, you'll look out the one after that small gap. Right next to engine.

Sorry if i sound like i'm over-analysing, but want to get the best i can for our holiday and as you know it starts with a decent flight.
I am by nature a bit of a 'monica' (as in 'friends')and like things very organized. Again, thank you all for your very helpful replies.

We want you to be comfy. I think you are right about the window in your row. The window for 16 is a bit in front of the seat according to seatguru, so yours might be at your shoulder. I would appreciate the extra shoulder room.

No, I beg to differ. Sitting beside an engine doesn't make it noisier. On most jets, it's towards the rear where you hear more engine noise. Further to the front the quieter.
From info I'm reading on seatguru.com, the missing window is probably right next to the seat on Row 17, or slightly behind that seat. You should have a nice window on Row 16.

So it sounds like we won't have a window by us, it will be slightly behind whoever's at window seat, just at shoulder level?
i would imagine the lack of the few extra windows in this part of plane would make it seem a bit darker than the main economy cabin?
has anyone sat in this part of the plane to say if its better than the main economy cabin?

You will have a window by you. I don't understand why you think there won't be one. The missing windows are at the closet and lavatory.
