You are more than likely on AmericanAirlines JFK to LosAngeles connecting to QANTAS on into Sydney. If your ticket/itinerary shows "QANTAS" the portion JFK to LAX is "codeshare" with AA.So its standard AA domestic coast to coast service. This time of the year all flights are packed and horrific. The flight LAX to Sydney is 14 1/2 hours movie after movie if you cant sleep.Amenities are standard.
Peace and Joy to you also!

The flight is not that bad, you'll make a stopover in Los Angeles, and then from LAX to SYD, its a 13 to 14 hour flight, comparable to JFK to Tokyo. No amentities are given in coach.

Hi Jill,
I was on Qantas for a flight from LAX to MEL last year ... in coach. I was given socks, eye shades and earphones all tucked nicely in a little bag. In fact I got 2 of them - coming & going. The flight's not bad at all. I did have to get up to stretch my legs every now & then. Over all I was pleased.
Leaving on the 26th for Melbourne ... can't wait.
Happy Holidays to you & enjoy.
Sandi
