From the terms and conditions on the e-certs:
"Transferability - This E-Cert is transferable but not for cash or any other consideration. Purchased/auctioned E-Certs are subject to confiscation and travel will not be permitted."

Yes! I learned about the tripod site through this board.
I like to fly NWA so I found it very interesting that there was a site for the coupons. However,I have not bought any. So far, I have received them in the mail about 2 X a year.
MAybe the "Tripod Poster" will let us in on the secret!

The coupons are not actually being sold...they are FREE so there are no rules being broken. The $12 given is classified as a service fee. The $100 off coupons are very rare to get in your mail as oppose to the flat rate coupons. $100 off ones are great because there are NO BLACKOUT DATES OR LIMITED SITTING AND NO ADVANCE BOOKING NEEDED!! We offer these as a way to help you and others save money on your flight. No reason why they should sit here and go to waste. These same coupons are being "sold" on ebay, yahoo, and all over classified pages.

I've been to these sites. It's a little odd to think these free coupons are being sold. Especially since, the "$100 coupon" isn't in fact a $100 coupon. It depends on where you're flying. I'm with the others.. I'm surprised this is allowed. But, if you get the ones in the mail, you're lucky! They are pretty good cost savers! I've used it before! But those blackout dates will probably keep you from travelling the typical holiday travel days. If you're flexible, it'll be great!

The $100 off coupons are $100 off a flight of $400+, $75 off $300-$400, $50 $200-$300. There are no black out dates and they dont come in the mail. The coupons that you keep refering to are the zone coupons which are hard to use because of the limited seating, black out dates, saturday stay, and no flying on sunday.
Many people are greatful that we offer these coupons as for a $12 fee they can save $100.
