SAS Christmas Campaign
Am I the only one getting these - is this too good to be true - Every day this month they have been showing special rates to great destinations for only $279 rt.but you had to book within 24 hrs. Today is the 100 yr anniversary of aviation, so they are offering all the previous flights up to now for just today. Some great places, London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Warsaw, Madrid and of course Scandanavian countries. I wonder if anyone else has been following this campaign.

I've been following it, but resisting the urge to buy. I think the ticket dates are something like January - March. I would love to have chosen any of those destinations, but I need to save up vacation time. Go to the http://www.scandinavian.net site and you will find more details for sure.

I didn't know anything about this. i never really pay attention to SAS. However, in Feb. 2001 there was a one-day air sale on Orbitz, and I got a RT Newark/Milan for $268 via SAS. It was a roundabout way to fly to and from Italy (via Stockholm going, via Copenhagen returning), but for that price, I didn't mind. Maybe they tend to have a lot of space available on their winter flights.

SAS website states that travel must take place between 05 January and 27 March, 2004, with all travel complete by 29 March, 2004. Flights leave from Newark, Washington, DC, Chicago, and Seattle. Add about $100 in taxes and fees to the price quoted. And yes, the flights typically go through some city in Scandanavia.

I'm wondering this too, or if you have to stay a certain number of days. It's such a great deal I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. One week in March and only 2 weeks in September instead of 3? Plus SAS airmiles!!!

Barb,
My friend and I have been following this and took advantage of the deal. My ticket from Seattle to Geneva came to $408 (tax included). We have a 4 hour stopover in Copenhagen. I'm pretty sure SAS gives you 24 hours from the time you book to cancel.
