Here is what i need. I want to know because this is so expensive is there any other way I can do it???

1, SAN to BOS 4/20 to see new grandchild for a few days

2. BOS to PAR 4/25

3. PAR to BOS 5/25

4.BOS to SAN 6/13 (more grandkids, graduation, et.c)

It is very expensive..that is why I wonder if flying from Boston to JFK or EWR and then to Paris might helpThanks

Two separate tickets - SAN-BOS-SAN and BOS-CDG-BOS will probably be quite a lot cheaper than trying to buy a ticket from San Diego to Paris with a stop in Boston in each direction. I'm seeing around $300 all in to Boston and back, then around $700 all in from Boston to Paris and back, vs. $1900 for SAN-BOS-CDG-BOS-SAN.

You might save a couple of bucks by going through NYC but I doubt it.

Thanks...I am finding out only 1 airline goes to Paris from Boston in April and that is AF/Delta. I am not sure how long I have to wait to buy tickets...will the prices go down????..

You can save a hundred bucks or so by going via New York (BOS-JFK-CDG).

Will prices go down? I dunno... will the Padres or Red Sox go to the series?

(Straight answer - nobody knows; depends on lots of factors. Fuel surcharges might get reduced, or they might stay, or they might go up. Ask OPEC.)

With that kind of itn, you are breaking few if not many cheap fare rules, i.e. minimum/maximum stays, 2 layovers, and possibly more. Is it fair? no, but them are the rules, and whether we like them or not, we have to live with it, unless we are willing to go full fare.....

That said, I just did a quick check on www.aa.com and it came back with $1140 ALL-IN for the exact itn you wanted. Not as good as the above mentioned $1000, but at least it's one ticket, although for your itn, there is no fear of missing a connection, so it's not really necessary.

One of the problems might be that you seem to be planning the flight home from Paris just before a long weekend holiday in France (Pentecost - a lot of people get Monday the 28th off). Therefore, there might be a lot of French people travelling around the time you're travelling, which could be increasing fares. Check fares a few days before the 25th and a few days after the 28th and see if there's anything better.

Given that you're planning a fairly long trip, have you considered adding another city (London) and flying Boston-London-Boston, and then popping over to France on Eurostar (or flying - flying is often cheaper than the train these days)? There is likely to be more competition on the Boston-London route, which might reduce the price. Plus you could take advantage of the availability of World Traveller Plus on BA - more money but a lot more comfortable.

I am late in responding. We are going to do Boston/London Paris in the Fall. Because of our age, we usually try to do the simplest thing!

AA does not go from Boston to Paris in April so doing the whole thing from SAN on AA is not feasible. I don't know why they don't run in April. Thanks for all the help.

We seem to have better luck flying out of Manchester, NH (about 1 hr N of Boston). Not sure if they go to Europe but you may want to check....
