Most comfortable economy airline seats

I plan to fly from Auckland to Athens, Greece and return in july. Having flown with Air NZ, Thai, Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore with mixed feelings, which one is your favourite for long haul? This is going west. Going east I have flown Air Tahiti Nui, Air NZ and Air Canada. Also various domestic airlines but they don't come into it here. Interested in all your comments.

For comfort and fast flights connections I would say Singapore Airlines. Your other alternatives would be Emirates or Thai, Emirates probably having the edge on connections. If fare was same I would go for Singapore.

Sorry noted you were in Auckland, if that means Emirates using 777s then forget it, they put 10 seats across whereas others put the normal 9 !! SQ leaving 1225 midday and getting into Athens 7.20 am, about 6 hrs at Changi, so that means just AKL-SIN-ATH

With Thai you need to check regarding seatback TV's as they are in some and not others, Thai leaves AKL 2.15 pm arriving ATH 0705, just 2 hrs 35 transit at Bangkok.

Based on seatback TV's on 'all aircraft' plus comort I would go Singapore. 6 hrs in Singapore you can get a massage, shower, see a movie whatever.

Hi Kathy -

I've flown all the airlines you mention except Air Canada and Air Tahiti Nui, but not on the route you're flying.

My personal favorite for long haul flights is Singapore Airlines.

I must say that Air Tahiti Nui is a wonderful experience - you do really feel on holiday.
