My husband owns a business with about 15 employees. One of his biggest problems is employees surfing the net all day and not doing their work. I really havent read much about this but I think it is a big problem nowadays. He says he bets they average 4 good hours out of an 8 hour day. He would prefer to trust them to their work but its looking like there will have to be some kind of monitoring or blocking of internet.

part-time RN consultant. Make home visits and fill out tedious forms for the state. Fill out a form, check Fodors, etc.

Ditto AA. When I'm in my home office the computer's online all the time and I check in while mulit-tasking (like the other Type A gals here). When I'm on the road, there's a lot less "talking".

Carrybean - Your area of responsibility sounds much more appealing than me jumping all over the Midwest and dealing with ORD almost weekly. Which islands do you get to frequent?

Like most other posts, when I'm not on the road and working from my home office, I surf the web as a diversion.

Mjz, wanna trade? I'm in St. Thomas but I'm worn out with the constant staff turn-over, hiring, trying to find people who will actually show up, etc. & while this IS a travel board, dealing with cruise ship passengers daily is a whole other rant. I should say "some" ship passengers, definitely not all.
Still beats the hotel biz, though IMO.

I'll stick with my gig and just travel to your neck of the woods. I'm not cut out to deal with the cruise crowd on a daily basis....
