The worst seat I ever had is on SA A340-600

We flew coach Frankfurt to Cape Town last month, nearly 11 hours flight.
Well, the seating tiredness that we usually feel after some hours flight we felt just a few minutes after take off !!
The seat comfort was almost ZERO !!
Thanks God the flight was not full and we could take some pillows from other free seats just to make our seats a bit more comfortable.
I tried another two seats but it was exactly the same. It was like seating on a wooden bench !!

I flew the same from JFK to JNB (21 hours) and thought it was comfortable. (except for the amount of time in the plane) To each his own.

It is the airline that chooses the seats that go into a plane and how the seats are configured, not the aircraft manufacturer.

yes mrwunrfl you are right, that's why I wrote SA A340-600.

I also flew on other airlines A340-600s with higher comfort !

Is that the same Airbus used by Air Tahiti Nui?? The seats on that plane were, by far, the least comfortable I've ever sat in!!!

simpsonc510 & lynnejoel1015

as mrwunfrl wrote, it is not Airbus that installs the seats, its the airline that selects them, therefore the aircraft manufacturer is irrevelant.
