JetBlue dealy compensation?
On July 2 we flew back from JFK to SFO. The flight arrived 9 hours late. JetBlue gave us a compensation of $150 valid for 6 months. I want to appeal that on two grounds:
I believe that for a delay of more than 6 hours the compensation should be $250, according to JetBlue's own guidelines.
The compensation should be valid for more than 6 months.
I have tried to reach JetBlue and had absolutely no success in either reaching the chat room or a live voice. Any suggestions?

Were you sitting on the plane for 9 hours? Normally they will return to the gate within 3 hours if that is the case.
If the delay was announced before you boarded it is $150.

Were you sitting on the plane for 9 hours? Normally they will return to the gate within 3 hours if that is the case.

I can see your point but it sounds like Jetblue is going by the rule that your first delay was announced before you boarded, apparently. I have no idea about the validity time thing, I don't see that on their website. From what I've seen, there are no Federal laws covering flight delay compensation, only cancellations. Good luck, I suppose you can complain to DOT or their social nedia page on X or Facebook.

The first delay was announced after the scheduled departure while we were sitting at the gate.
"JetBlue has an escalating compensation structure. The minimum compensation is $50 in travel credits after a three-hour departure delay, and the credit adjusts upward by $50 for every additional hour. The credit maxes out at $200 for delays of six hours or more.
Once passengers have boarded the aircraft, the compensation structure is $100 in credit for a delay between three and five hours, $175 in credit for a delay between five and six hours, or a $250 credit for a delay of six hours or more."
Trying to reach a real person is impossible. Any suggestions in that regard?
