Five of us are flying JFK-FRA-SIN-BKK in mid-November. We just got an E-mail from Singapore Air that the SIN-BKK leg was rescheduled to 7:10 a.m.. Our SIN-FRA leg arrives at 7:00 a.m. They said that they had wiatlisted us on the nex SIN-BKK flight, but when I called the Resrevation Center, they said all the SIN-BKK flights on 9/15/09 were full. How do we avoid getting trapped in SIN forever?

I looked and there did not seem to be any JFK-SIN flights that would get uus in any earlier than 7:00 a.m.

As Singapore Air is member of Star Alliance have you considered to fly with partners Thai Airways or Lufthansa from JFK to BKK ?

See if they will put you on Thai for SIN-BKK.

There are tix available for that 09:40 flight. I can buy two one-way tix for SGD 682 total. Same thing for the 15:30 and 18:50 flights, tho you don't want to wait that long.

Maybe buying these tix would be oversells or maybe it is just your fare that is sold out (what they are selling are "Flexi" fares).

I know you don't want to buy tickets, but the Thai flight at 08:10 is only 223 SGD. Maybe those SQ flights are oversold.
