2 adults and a lap child? thats pretty much a fair price this year for summer
my opinion
1) it wont go down much, as I dont expect any sales other than maybe a last last minute one if they have seats
2) The airlines might raise again for those that finalize their travel plans for summer during Easter break
if you are comfortable with the number, take it.
ps- enjoy your days with the lap child. They grow up, talk back and pay full fare

oh and for how long! flights to london from boston in july at the moment seem to be going for around $2300ish for all on expedia.com but without exact dates and length of stay its a bit awkward to say how much it'd cost and whether there's anything within your budget

One problem is discount tickets often have a 29 or 30 day maximum duration. They'll have restrictions something like "Saturday night stay, return flight w/i 30 days".
If you don't want to shorten your trip -- you may just have to bite the bullet.

Do I wait, or just bite the bullet and book it. This will be the most I've ever paid to travel to Uk
