Eurofly airline

Has anyone flown Eurofly? I'm about to book flights for this summer and they are quite a bit cheaper to Italy than other airline, including Alitalia. Any feedback on the flight? Opinion on safety record anyone? Thanks.

Thanks for the reference to wikipedia. Yes, I did see that. I also checked them out on Hoovers. They made money 2 years ago, lost money last year, probably due to fuel costs. I'm most concerned about safety and not losing my money.

There have been several people report about their Eurofly flights but I could only find one.

The other one might have been a link by a Fodorite that had posted their experience on www.flyertalk.com I think you should check flyertalk for more reviews.

Hello All, new to the site and I too, after "surfing" my brains out online, as well as requesting AAA's best price, the winner for Biz Class NON STOP JFK to NAPles Italy won hands down !!
Of course, flying a non US carrier internationally presents some trepidation, but then, how many US lines have had major issues themselves?
Well, I will find out more about Eurofly's class of services soon enough, 5.7.07 will keep you posted.

Sorry, this is a little tardy, but the Business Class Value left me a bit unsatisfied!! Here's Why:
JFK to NAP went without a hitch, but then the AIrport changed terminals for arrivals and the passengers had to fend for ourselves after luggage retrieval to find the Main terminal for rentals, etc. (p.s. there was a bus run but a strike that day eliminated that help) Welcome to Italy!! The NAP-JFK return leg was a nightmare due to a tire malfunction on the aircraft sitting on the tarmac since arriving from JFK the previous day!! Now, when I reserved the tickets, I understood using a small carrier with limited Airframes, IF one had a problem, there is little chance of backup inventory. SO, at the departure gate, the Advertised departure time is upon us, and THE gate crew DID not announce a delay until after the time to leave had past!! they delayed departure for 3 hours, I returned the the Business class lounge(comfy but not even close to JFK of course)and there is the Entire crew for the Eurofly flight waiting for the replacement tire to arrive. Well, needless to say, the 3 hours changed to 5, the airline to their credit passed out meal vouchers of 4.80 Euro and the food court has some MADE TO ORDER options, so we did not starve. The delay was AGAIN pushed back 2 more hours, and another meal ticket issued.

We finally lifted off 7.5 hours late, and MY complaint was with the lousy communication from the Airline, who HAD to know that plane was not ready to depart at the given advertised time, nor was it accurately assessing when it would be ready to leave!! ( the airline had to FLY another plane in from Milano with the tire, since NO other airline at Naples uses an Airbus A330.) Roma is not that far from Naples, but again, not the HUB and probably no spare parts.
Murphy was not done with us yet FOLKS!! ON landing at JFK, the rear wheels touched down normally, but when the front gear HIT HARDER than I had ever experienced, well, once the plane decelerated enough to usually taxi off the runway;...you guessed IT, the pilot slowed to a stop and shut down the engines at the end of the runway!! HE had lost the ability to steer the plane since it was damaged on landing, so he announces we must sit and wait to be towed to the terminal....another 30 minutes or so. Well, most people use their cell phones upon landing here in the USA, and so I did just that to inform my friend picking me up of a possible further delay. One of the flight attendants noticed me on the phone, and SURLEY and RUDELY, wagged his finger at me with NO PHONES!!
Well, one last point, I did not think the Business class cabin was worth the added premium for a few reasons: food not all that special, children allowed in the cabin....both directions and the hellish return had the ubiquitous screamer directly behind me, until thoughtful Mother, took him to the lavatory until he passed out. Third, after I returned home, decompressed, etc. I emailed the company this report, but no reply at all!! And to add salt to the wound, the Website now advertised same trip for Business class, 2 tickets for nearly what I paid for one!! Flying non-stop is certainly time saver, but not sure it made for a pleasant experience all told.
By the way, everything else in Italy was 100% superb!!
Grazie per tutti attenzione!!
