There are lots of discussions (and advice available from frequent business travellers) about seating configurations on AC, on the Aeroplan forum on www.flyertalk.com.

Old type 763 has 2-2-1 or 1-2-2 seating with 151-degree recline and 60" pitch. Retrofitted 763 has 1-1-1 herringbone horizontal flat beds.
I think either one will be better than on a A320.

aircanada.com shows 4 of the old 1-2-2 or 2-2-1 layouts for 26 of its 763s plus the new 1-1-1 herringbone for 6 of them.
There were two planes that joined AC in 2005 from Kenyan Airways (C-GHPF and C-GHPH) that probably had 2-2-2 when it first flew with AC, but should have been converted.
They are different from the domestic 762s that are 2-2-2.

Thank you all for your replies. I checked and I think the business compartment on the 763 will be much more comfortable than the setup on the A320. We are in the last row before the curtain partition with economy class on the 320 so I assume not the best seats. The other flight should be better.
