Delta status
Hi all. Am looking to book tix to SLC in Feb. on Delta. What is their status right now - stable, shaky?
My husband is a FF on USAir and I follow news about that airline, but not so much the others. I do know that the "experts" have been predicting the demise of USAir for years now, and they are still flying.
I seem to recall many of the other airlines have received concessions from their unions - but not sure of the status of Delta.

I think it's stable. It's moving slowly along the bankruptcy court procedures and have no major "showdowns" with its union employees. Add to the fact that most US airlines should be a very positive cash flow for Q2 and Q3 of 2006, DL will definitely be around in 2/07.
In fact, it has "so much money" that it's acquiring new aircrafts, refurbishing its cabins, and even providing free booze in coach for international flights.

but it's only one free drink with meal service not throughout the flight so I don't think that's enough to get wally to switch.
