Delta security sticker on pass port

I just noticed that I have a sticker on my passport. Why is it there? I did get pulled aside to get checked. Will it cause problems on future flights? Just wondering if anyone knows why?

Often the person who asks the questions (Did you pack your own bag, etc.) at the second security check at the gate on an international flight headed to the US will place a sticker on the back of your passport to signal that you have been checked.

The back of my passport is plastered with them. No problems.

My husband and I each got stickered last fall on a trip to Israel. On our old passports we each got stickered at some point on a cruise from Barcelona to Rio. No idea exactly when or where or why we were stickered on either trip. It never caused a problem. Nothing to worry about.

I always remove it after arriving at destination. Unsightly and leave a residue. And confusing for future trips. I also remove all the stickers on my luggage ASAP for same reasons.
