Delta rant :(

Reserved 2 seats from Santo Domingo to San Francisco one-way in January. Today went to check yet another schedule change - darn, they've moved us from row 20 into row 30!!

How much longer till they move us out of the plane to a parashute?

Oh, well, there is a silver lining. We paid just over $600 for 2, now the same is over $1,000.

Ha! I'll be going FROM Santo Domingo - this is where the cruise ends after going through Panama Canal!

Do you hate me now?

I heard there are only 29 rows on this plane - Row 30 means the entire trip will be spent in the bathroom. That is what happens to people who get to go on Panama Canal cruise in January.

Have you tried to change the seats? Unless the flight is already full you should be able to do it either online or by phone.

Unfortunately, you have to join the potty club instead of the mile high club.

Santo-Domingo to I don't remember, something in Florida, maybe Miami? Then another leg to San Francisco. Sorry, left the print-out at home, and I have another trip before that January 18 one-way.

When there's a schedule change, sometimes you can't access the seatmaps until the itinerary is "cleaned up". It will eventually happen automatically but you can call and have them do it now. When you look at your itinerary on delta.com do you still see both the old flight and the new flight?

But it looks like 27AB are the only two assignable seats next to each other unless you have elite status for preferred seating.

I have good news and bad news.

The good news: they've moved us 3 rows up from 32 to 29.

The bad news: our mile high membership had been denied

And I still can't get into the 2nd leg seating assignment, doesn't matter how much I curse my computer.

Looks like you will just have to plan another trip to make the mile high club.

Today is exactly 2 months before the trip, got an e-mail from Delta with the schedule change, new seats assigned on the 2nd, longer leg - row 29.

Atlanta, GA - will 3 hr layover be enough coming from another country? (2 hrs 55' from int'l to domestic)

Yes, Faina. You will have time to get some southern grub in the Atlanta airport.
