Need more information from you - what airline(s), are you traveling on one ticket, where are you originating from, what is your nationality, times of flights, etc.???

Go to Tunisa's "official" government website for visa info.

It's not clear from the info you posted since you only gave info about the Johannesburg/Cairo flight. But If you are flying Egypt Air for both legs then you'll get your boarding passes for both flights when you check in at Johannesburg. What that means is you won't have to "check-in again" in Cairo. Also, your luggage can be checked through to Tunisia. If you are flying a different airline for the Cairo/Tunisia leg you'll have to tell us which airline in order to give you more specific answer.

You shouldn't need a visa for Cairo as you'll be considered "in transit".

Yes, you'll get your boarding passes for both flights when you check-in in Johannesburg.

Yes, your luggage will be checked through to your final destination (Tunisia).

You'll have to check the Tunisia government website or with the Tunisian Consulate in your home country for any requirements regarding inoculations. Hint - try doing a google search using such topics as "Tunisian Entry requirements" - you'll probably find the answer that way.

I don't think it's a good idea to post quite such specific information (flight, date, seat number) on a public forum such as this. I would not identify myself so openly.

As for your question about the hotel, only the hotel can answer that. Contact them.

I havent benn to tunisia in 10 years but at that time you could only acquire dinars legally in Tunisia (i was coming from the Us ans Europe). There was an official exchange desk at the airport.

I agree with jeff to ask mods to delete your post with personal info. TMI for an internet forum. Also, a question: why are you paying hotel in cash and up front?

Check tunisian government websites for agriculture and other customs info re what food is or isnt permissible.

I've been watching this post & have to chime in to agree... it is really not a good idea to state your full first and last name (assuming you did), post a headshot, AND give everyone your complete itinerary right down to the seat number. I encourage you to have this post removed. You can still get answers to your questions without giving every detail.

I took a look at the US State Dept site and there is no mention of yellow fever vaccination for Tunisia. The WHO site also indicates that Tunisia does not have yellow fever outbreaks. The CDC website is "not a disease risk in Tunisa" but you need proof of vaccination if coming from a country with a risk of YF transmission. South Africa is not on the list:
