Bumping this thread because last night Oneworld got on the "let's see if the demand curve is for real" bandwagon and increased the basic 22,000 mile Circle Pacific business-class fare (for US origins) by 69%. Was $5500 yesterday, today $9300. I think it's now higher than Star's Circle product.
It's now cheaper in the US to buy a 4-continent RTW in biz than to buy a Circle. Origins in Canada went up too, but are now cheaper by $1000 than origin in the USA.

I wished I saw this earlier. I made changes to my booking before July 1st but now they wont honor the old price, should have ticketed it. Funny but RTW prices are still lower than Circle Pacific on One World now. Also Canada pricing is much cheaper so will look at that option.

As with RTWs, CirPacs are priced differently according to where you begin and end the trip, provided they're purchased in the country of origin.
Prices for trips originating in Asia didn't go up as much, so if you have miles or don't mind paying for a trip to someplace like Japan or Hong Kong, you can probably save enough on the Circle trip to offset the "access" costs. You can see fares on the Oneworld.com website page relating to Circle Pacific. It's not hard to arrange for ticketing in places like Tokyo or Hong Kong.

Its actually easier for me to try the 4 continent explorer which AA was quoting at 8300. More expensive then if I ticketed pre-July 1 but cheaper than the 11,200 for <26K one world circle pacific they are quoting now. I thought about what you mentioned and originating from HK and just saving the tickets for next year but never know if I can make it back.
