charging for 2 seats for larger passenger
I have a family member who is 5 feet tall and about 250 lbs.I would like to take her family to dis world,but wonder if alaskian air has any policy about larger people and seats.I don't want her to be embarassed.Very ackward position. thanks for any help

One of the reasons I like Alaska Airlines is that you can pay for space available upgrades to 1st class up to 24 hours in advance. The cost is $50 per 1,250 miles (one-way). I think your family member would fit relatively comfortably into a 1st class seat. The upgrades are available only with "paid" tickets, not award seats.

even if they do have a policy, wouldn't it have to go by weight, regardless of height? I don't think 250 lbs would be even close to any limit. I've known plenty of people who weigh close to or more than that who have flown on regular tickets.
