Just to clarify, all of my flights next week are with in the USA.
Seattle - Atlanta
Atlanta - Miami
Miami - NYC
NYC - Detroit
Detroit - Seattle
Seattle - Las Vegas
Las Vegas - Flagstaff
Flagstaff - Las Vegas
Las Vegas - Seattle
All in 10 days. My life is going to be hell for the next few weeks

I wasn't thinking of US customs checking pills, but other countries customs agents. Singapore, for instance, used to look carefully at medications carried, as did a number of mid-eastern countries. I haven't seen Singapore customs checking such things in the last decade or so, but they certainly have the right to check them. I remember arriving in Bali, and seeing a customs agent going through a large backpack with a fine-toothed comb.
