are the following things allowable under TSA rules?
I will be traveling overseas in a few days. Domestic flight is w/ Delta airlines and international flight is w/ Emirates. I'll be in transit for 2 nights so I worry a little.
I understand TSA doesn't allow certain things but does anyone know if the following are acceptable?
-toothpaste powder (not a paste or gel)
-solid deodarant
-non-liquid makeup (powder, eye crayons, and lipgloss)
-snacks like granola bars and crackers

Rose-unless it is a cream or a gel, at the present time, and what looks like the foreseeable future, that is fine.
Deodorant I would say pack in checked package-as that is a type of creme.
All electronics are allowed on flights leaving the US-and on any other flights NOT leaving the UK.

Hmm. I just looked at your list again-lip gloss-good question! That is somewhat of a gel-like consistency, though-and since I have much of this and am flying out myself very soon, I need to find this out-my guess is, it will need to go in checked baggage-I have some Chanel lip gloss, so don't want to risk the chance that it might go in the trash bins!
Remember also, that to a certain extent, these types of matters are a matter of discretion for the TSA screening folks at a particular checkpoint. You may well get variances in responses here-as to some items-depending on the checkpoint.

Rose-after looking at the newly posted TSA Q and A's, which you can find here:
tsa-7.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/tsa.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php
I would say that lip gloss and LIQUID eyeliner (per the TSA example) will need to be put in checked baggage.

Are the rules re. no electronics and liquids only apply to inbound flights from UK or also domestic?
