Anyone with experience on a Continental 762 EWR-ZRH or London-EWR?

Thinking of taking Continental to Zurich and returning from London. I've read a few positive posts about the comfort level in coach on this equipment. Anyone out there willing to share their experience on this aircraft? Thanks.

I flew ZRH-EWR, the seats are just slightly more comfortable then domestic, food is digestable, and there was a TV screen on each seat. I'd fly CO again in a heartbeat! Nothing negative.

CO's 762/764 have the highest comfort level in coach in their fleet. New plane, 2-3-2 seating, 32" pitch instead of 31", personal video screen, modern interior with large overhead compartments.

Coming back from LGW, you should be on a 777. Which is also nice and new, but only 31" pitch and 3-3-3 seating.

Thanks folks. Rkk--you're right about the 777. I had forgotten that they use that equipment on the london-US route.

$5.00 drinks (beer, wine, spirits) on Continental across the Atlantic. Have they cut back on their food like American has? Every time I fly Continental I get a cheeseburger, but I'll take that over a $4.00 snack pack.

For the heavy drinkers like wally, they can buy the Continental coupons at a kiosk. Buying them in bulk can decrease the cost of a drink to about $4.

Flights to Europe get a dinner with two entree choices (not cheeseburger), and then a continental breakfast (no omelette, sorry) before arrival.

Coming back, you get a lunch (again two choices), then a snack (sandwich)before arrival. For snack, England->EWR flights used to get cream tea (scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam). Not sure if it's still the case.

Food quality and quantity is alright, but doesn't compare to most European carriers.
