Hi!

We will be flying into San Diego on Southwest and have a tight period of time running from Southwest to Aloha Airline. SW is in terminal 2 and Aloha is in #1. I have been inside once on a layover and could see that it was a small airport.

My goal to get there to Aloha gate from SW gate as quickly as possible to make it.

What is the best way to go through the place?

Is there a way we could contact Aloha as soon as we land to let the gate know we are coming so that they know we are coming just in case plane was a little behind or running from one place to another is too far?

Oh by the way, we will NOT check in baggages, we do a carry on and travel very simple. We will also do a pre boarding passes the night before. Anything else we should know to make it work. THANKS!

I'm not sure where Aloha gates are but SW is in Terminal 1 at San Diego's airport. Terminal 1 and 2 are quite close together and if you're not hauling luggage it's not a long walk. There is a bus that will take you but it's probably easier and quicker to walk. How long is your connection time? You will have to go thru security again at the other terminal.

I live in SD, allow at least 30mins, you will have to go thru security again. What time of the day are you arriving, Sat & Sun AM is the worst.

We will be flying into SD at 7:30 AM on a monday morning. Aloha's first flight is leaving an hour later.

What it is like on a early Monday morning?

We will carry a small carry on bag each and nothing else. We are simple travelors, has been for years since these dreadful 50 pds luggages we had when we first started traveling. Practically brought the house except the sink. LOL

We will run over. I printed out the map and will find out which gate etc.

But cant help wondering about what early Monday morning is like?
