anyone flown air one?
We are trying to find a reasonable flight out of Charlotte to Rome and back from Milan, and it looks like a lot of US Air flights switch to Air One after the connection. Anyone ever flown on this airline? Because I've never even heard of it...

AIRONE or "Heron" as it translates in Italian, is an independent airline based in Rome, has numerous domestic flts throughout Italy, and Europe. Flys the CRJ 900s and has a very young fleet. Will merge with Alitalia in early 09. It is a very good inter-city carrier, by European standards. Simple service no gimmicks.

Looks like a Heron on the tail - http://www.flyairone.com/ but surprisingly they do not appear on Attitude travel's comprehensive listing of European carriers - http://www.attitudetravel.com/lowcos...ne.html#-Onair
So perhaps a good thing in that they are not classed as low cost and do offer parachutes on boarding at an extra charge of course!

Well that is good news, I guess! Now one more question...do they not let you choose your seats? We tried to book our flight to Italy tonight (travelocity said they were having technical problems, next think we know the flight has disappeared from all travel websites, but that's not relevant to my question), and it said that we couldn't pick seats for all three of our Air One flights. Do they let us pick them later, or are the seats unassigned?
Thanks!
Thanks!
