Not personal experience, but they have a pretty good reputation. Significantly better than Alitalia had. They seem to be financially sound and are closely allied with Lufthansa. They will be flying Airbus A330s on this route, which is a very, very comfortable plane.
I would not hesitate to try them.

The changeover would be in Milan. Air One is still a smaller airline. If you aren't going to Italy, I would think any of the other carriers would be a better option.
Out of Boston, I personally think Northwest is the best, as it is a good product and you connect in Amsterdam, which is the best airport in Europe. Just be sure to book onto the A330, rather than the 757, when flying Northwest.
Swiss, via Zurich would be another decent option.

Thanks..thats great information.. We have flown ittto Healthrow on BA and Zurich on Swiss..ands are usig Aer Lingus in Sept which takes us into Dublin..At the rate of speed Im going Ill be changing in airports all over the place.. but definetely going to make a note of your comments
