A regular airline, at least from our experience. It is a regional partner of Lufthansa. We got our boarding passes with seat assignments from a LH transfer desk in Munich (our flight originated in Chicago on United, which could not check us in, but United did interline our bags all the way to Athens). Flight was on an Airbus (319 or 320). As I mentioned, they served a hot lunch (which wasn't bad for economy airline fare). Only downside was no miles accrued to Mileage Plus.

Appreciate the info. Trying to work a schedule of into Athens and home from Samos (through Athens). Just didn't know if Aegean was one of the deep discount lines that charge for everything. So fares are looking surprisingly cheap into Athens.
