?? about AA ff miles
Is it possible to use ff miles...go to one airport and take off from another if it's in the same aread.
I am looking to a trip to France next year. We need to leave on Air France from JFK but it would be very inconvenient for us since all our families are near Newark Airport. Is there a possibility we could leave from Newark?..yes AA has flights from Newark.
Thanks..

Sorry..I wasn't clear at all.
OK our trip to Paris in March leaves from JFK on Air France (tickets purchased..).
We are in San Diego. I want to use ff miles to get to JFK for this flight. Coming back from NY we would rather leave on AA from Newark as it's close to all our relatives.
My question is...if I get ff miles from san diego to jfk can I do the return from Newark Airport...?.
Hope this is clear.

That's better
Yes you can do this.
This is not even an open jaw as the 2 terminals are what's called co-terminals, but even if it was an open jaw it would still be allowed.
Just call AAdvantage and hope there is award inventory available. No problem with SAN-JFK/EWR-SAN routing.
Good luck and have a great trip!

If I were you I would still fly out of JFK on your return. There are 2 non-stop flights from JFK to SAN, one early one late afternoon. On the other hand you will have to connect if you leave from EWR.
Maybe extra 1/2 hour to get to JFK on departure day but then you save anywhere from 1 to few hours needed for connections and you and your luggage won't have to worry about missing the connection.
Something to think about.
