AAFF or anyone...
Flying AA to HNL, then via Aloha to LIH. Am able to check baggage all the way thru to LIH, but can I do that with curbside checkin or will I need to stand in what I'm sure will be a huge line inside? thanks for any info.

Why curbside?
why not the kiosk inside? During the check in process you will be asked if you have baggage to check? and if so, how many pieces? The tags will be printed behind the counter so one of the agents working the kiosks area only will get the tags and help you with the luggage. No lines, it's free and no tipping required......
To start the process: the easiest is any kind of a card with the magnetic strip on the back that has your name on it, i.e. credit card, drivers license, airline status card, etc.... just swipe the card through, the kiosk will locate your reservation and guide you through the process or you can just screen type your name in manually and it will do the same....
and yes, you will be able to check your luggage all the way through.
Have a great trip!

Doesn't the AA self service kiosk automatically print out the baggage tags that the counter agent then attaches to the bag?
If the Aloha to LIH leg isn't on the AA computer, then what gets printed out 1st pass will only be to HNL on the tag. Make sure you ask the agent to print out a new tag if necessary all the way through to LIH.

Please note: it's not 'tipping' any more. There's a required fee to check your bags curbside for AA at various airports. Just don't be be surprised if you change your mind.
As others state, take the bags inside but be prepared for potential small lines. Depending on where you're flying from, the time of day, the season, and the airport, a line can form but they are quick.
This summer will be very busy for travel. Plus, here at DFW, the kiosk check-in has become popular and small lines have formed at various times duing the day.
