Sharon,
Those are great photos. Really liked the first zebra photo, the hippos, black and white ellie, and all the rest too! Who took the one with you in it?
Looking forward to seeing more. Did you have time to stop at the Textile place on your way to the airport? That is what I wanted to do, but there was not time.

Thanks guys. Star - I hung out with James one day and we took some folks to the airport, ran errands, went to his village, and stopped at Tribal. My guide at Tafika took the photo. I didn't realize he was doing it - but it's nice to have! Thanks for sending me those other photos! I have hundreds more to go through....

Dennis - you sure have gotten bossy. ;-) ;-) Just kidding. I will be adding photos for a long while, I think... when I think I'm done I will do as you suggest and post a new thread!

Fantastic pics all the way through. Amazing cub shots and I love the hippos squaring off -- some unique images! Keep them coming.

Thanks again for the nice comments, folks. The lion shots were funny. They had just eaten and were really just lazing about doing nothing. They also were in the shade, of course, and lying on a sandy patch of ground that also was adorned with blobs of dung everywhere! Not the most scenic area to shoot, that's why I did mostly close-ups. Even with them doing nothing, I could have sat there all day!

Sharon,

Some excellent pictures - I especially like your elephant pictures. I am eagerly awaiting the next load.

You know, if you had used a shorter lens it would have been art...but when you use your telephoto zoom lens, it is just filth!

Wow You did see it all! From a lion cub nursing to baboons doing it! Did you leave anything to see for your next trip (besides the dogs)? When are you going back?
Where's the microlight pics???

I'm sensing a weird symmetry here. It's perfectly acceptable to post countless photos of kills, but sex is somehow taboo? This mirrors American society perfectly, no? ;-)

(Obviously jet lag and it being after midnight have something to do with this ramble. Time to shut my eyes for the night!)

Sharon your pictures are great!

Please post everything, the sex and the death included. They're parts of the whole story.

Thanks Favor, Predator B., Johann and everyone else. I have so much to relearn about photography. I have scads more to go through, and it's amazing, the ratio of shots taken to shots kept! I guess that's the beauty of digital! I may repost a few after I really go after them in photoshop. We'll see how ambitious I get. more to come...
THanks again!
