Zambia photos

OK - as I see this pasted it doesn't look right. Does this link work? (There are only two photos on there, just FYI!) Just testing this out!

Thanks

OK - this should be working now. I will add photos as I can .... but I am only happy with about one-quarter of my shots, so this will not be a huge gallery. Here are the first two! ;-)

Sharon:

Wow! If that's a sample of what to come, I can't wait to see the rest! Welcome back!

Cooncat,
I saw them! Beautiful zebra pictures!

cooncat3 Jun 18th, 2006 06:41 AM

Thanks guys - I really struggled with the harsh light and exposure. Hopefully when I work with the raw files I can get a few decent photos worth printing!

Fantastic Zebra pics, indeed!!! Loved the ele and the fighting hippos...

Really nice photos. Loved the elephant family with the tiny baby hidden away between the adults. Thanks. Looking forward to the rest.

Thanks again. A lot of those zebra shots were over-exposed, so I'm hoping to rescue them in Photoshop. I've still got a lot of images in my Epson yet to be transferred to the computer, as well... I'm work on it!

Thanks~Sharon

Welcome back Sharon. You have some stunning photos - I LOVE the black & white Ellie and zebras, the Impala boys AND that stunnong sunset. Do you know what kind of Giraffe that is in South Luangwa - Nsefu sector? Very unusual markings from what I can make out.

Thanks Imelda! Those are Thornicroft ('s?) Giraffe, and I believe they are endemic to South Luangwa...or at least to Zambia. (Apologies to my great guides...)

EXCELLENT ((@)) !!! More! More!!

Patty Jun 18th, 2006 08:53 AM

Great pics! Love the zebra, hippo and sunset shots. Anxiously awaiting more.

Nyamera Jun 18th, 2006 09:10 AM

Now there were 29 photos. I loved the giraffe, the hippo fight, the impalas, the chameleon, the sunsets and the kids.

Love the zebras and elephants, especially the one where the elephant is in mid-step.

Now I found the pictures and it was worth searching.

The sparring zebras were wonderful. Loved the impala, both front and back. You made good use of the black and white options. The chameleon was stunning and so were your sunsets. Hauling all the camera gear paid off.

Aw shucks. Thanks again guys. I've got many more to sort through.

Oh boy! Based on the teaser this is going to be great! :-)

matnikstym Jun 18th, 2006 02:22 PM

((@)) just a suggestion...when you get all your pics uploaded and posted, can you start a new thread with your name in it (cooncat's zambia photos) or something similar...also when you do your trip report include your name. it'll be easier to find 6 months or a year down the road, and i know i'll be looking at them over and over in the future! Thanks, Dennis
(take this with a grain of salt...)
