Vic Falls from Zambia in October
When someone mentioned about Zimbabwe being the best place to see the falls in the fall, I had to post this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qATQdrHtij8
It is taken from the Zambian side in early October.
The footage was taken on an analogue video, digitised, compressed on my computer and compressed again on
the web. Quite a bit lost in the translation...
Glad you like the other videos. Shame you can't see them in DVD quality.

net warrior,
Oh my God...you should see the falls from the Zim side in March...absolutely incredible...you must wear a raincoat and you still get drenched as there is so much water that it bounces back up and fills all the area around. Plus, you can see the falls from below by walking down these steep steps and everything is so lush and tropical. I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that the falls are 10 times the amount shown in this video. Unless you had a waterproof camcorder, you would not even be able to take a video of the falls when they are at their best on the Zim side.

One more from late May on the Zambian side...this is what I sent STamiya to the Royal Livingstone to experience. She should have just concluded her stay there a couple days ago and is now at Luangwa River Lodge and will be at Chiawa next.

However, I always feel responsible for giving a disclaimer to anyone wanting to visit the falls once September rolls around. February - June, I believe, offer the best timing.

Hi matnikstym
Yes to see it front on you would have to go to Zim. Don’t know if it would look so impressive. I wouldn’t go out of principle.
But give it a try if you have a sunny morn and get there by 7.30 or 8.30 can’t remember which.

Also, for anybody planning a trip that includes Victoria Falls...do not forget to consider visiting during a Full Moon...this will provide the very rare opportunity for a lunar rainbow if it is not cloudy.
