Judochop:

I do recommend that group, however I am not sure how much of a choice you will have when you go. I think they just prfere to assign people at their own discretion. However, I think if you get their before everyone else, you can ask your guide to urge them to give you what you want.

The first day I saw the Amaharos. They have the oldest silverback in the mountains. He was like a great grandpa and did virtually nothing but lay on his back for our hour.

I will be going to Kigili, Rwanda for a traditional African wedding. I will be in Kigili for 2 weeks, as part of the trip we will be seeing the gorilla's. The entire trip is the most exciting adventure of my life.
The only thing I am concerned about is the food. We are staying at the Hotel Chez Lando, did you happen to see that Hotel.

We stayed at Chez Lando in December and the food was very good especially the pizza and steak. There are quite a few good restaurants in Kigali and you will not go hungry.Kigali is def my favorite city in Africa.

Food was great everywhere in Rwanda. Gotta love the French.

However, there was also a GREAT Indian restaurant just down teh street from the Mille Collines.

I just got my shots for the trip to Rwanda so far 3 shots and maybe a possible 4th. They are not suggesting the meningitis shot. Were there any health issues you encountered?
Where the mosquitoes a problem?

It was recommended to me, and I got, Tetanus Booster, Polio Booster, Hep A, Typhoid, Meningitis and Yellow Fever. Menigitis was recommended as it is close to the Meningitis belt and Rwanda had outbreaks in 2002, 2004. I figured I might as well get the shot.
