CarrieT - true Kings does not have a single supplement. Most other camps do and this was a factor (cost) in my deciding to stay my entire safari at Kings.

Not sure if you can plan on wild dogs. I have seen them only three times in my probably 50 days in the Timbavati and Sabi Sand reserves. That pair this trip was right on the borderline of camps and private property, that Macadam road. If she dens on the camp side it would be great, if the other side they may never be seen again.

You would very much enjoy Kings Camp.

Tom, the fact they don't have a single supplement is a huge plus for me and I'm really looking forward to checking it out next time I'm in the area! I had no luck with wild dogs when I was there in 2010...I was at Mala Mala. Some people on the airplane were passing around their cameras with all kinds of wild dog photos. They were staying inside Kruger park...I was very disappointed, but I know it is all timing and luck for these things. I'll keep my fingers crossed for next time!

Tom, great TR and amazing pictures, thanks for sharing. I am reading a lot in preparation for our next year's trip to SA, can't wait. We'll go for 3 weeks in Aug-Sept and will spend time in Cape Town, Western Cape for wildflowers, Hermanus, Sabi Sands, Timbavati and Vic Falls.
I'm your newest fan on smugmug, will come back again to see some of the older pics.
