It disappeared not long after you were appointed bartender. Hmmm....

someone probably thought it was advertising for his company and turned him in. hopefully he'll come back when the details are worked out.

Oh nooo... what a shame.
I was the last person who posted on it so he probably didn't even see my reply.

As the bartender extraordinaire, I'd better tone down my drink-making abilities on this trip then!

Don't want anyone to disappear in the bush like the thread disappeared! ;-)

On a serious note, what a shame they took it off. All we were doing was planning a worldwide Africaphile GTG on the continent we all love.

Gee, I thought his response to me really clarified and addressed that very issue; ie: celebrate his Dad etc.

Hi Guys
I have to abide by the rules, at least I have not been banned.

He he he, no fair!
All I said was that the trip sounded great but realistically I find it difficult to manage without an ensuite bathroom these days and a reasonably comfy bed so I probably wouldn't sign up but that I would look forward to hearing about it all as it sounds fabulous!

Hi Guys
I wonder who did bump me off. I would love to know the reason, but I know I will never know the small critter who hides away in the bushes and cannot face the real world.

Who knows and I wouldn't dwell on it or start getting paranoid... it may simply be that one of the Fodors moderators happened on the thread and decided it was a little over the line...

It's a hard line for them to draw and we regulars aren't always going to agree with every call...

"It's a hard line for them to draw and we regulars aren't always going to agree with every call..."- Kavey

Actually, it wasn't even a borderline breach of rules as far as I'm concerned. I've seen far more blatant threads. So Mark initiated it. What if I, as a keen 'roughing it' person, had started it and Mark joined in?

Wow, this is really becoming commonplace. One of my my posts on the cheetah hug got zapped Friday night - and I mean late Friday night - kind of made me wonder who was 'officially' up later than I, as it was pretty late here on the west coast when I was zapped.

I read the post at lunch about Jaco - it wasn't Jaco who posted, it was very clearly just a satisfied customer who had had a good time.

Shades of 1984?
