Tanzania Honeymoon 2007 - help!
Looked at number of views on Tanzania on this website and even more confused. Looking to go on honeymoon in August 2007. Would love some advice / help on where to go for best game viewing, which tour company to use, where to stay, etc? Want to combine safari with Zanzibar. Budget of about £4000 for two. Looking forward to some guidance.

Congratulations wrath! A honeymoon in Tanzania sounds fabulous - I just got back a month ago (second honeymoon)
How long will your trip be?
You can check out my trip report (I Dreamed I was in Africa...) I can alos highly recommend the company we used
(Matembezi - contact Ilan or Hagai at Matembezi.co.tz
Everyone on this board had their favorite safari operator so check around and get a few quotes. Also - there are others on the board that are way better experts on itineraries - but ours worked perfectly (17 days including Zanzibar).
Good Luck

Hello,
In August you are best off starting your trip in Kenya, where the Migration will be on the Masai Mara. You could then move down to Tarangire, where the game-viewing will be phenomenal in the dry season, and the Crater where it's good year-round, before heading down to Zanzibar.
The Mara and the Serengeti are effectively part of the same eco-system, so you don't need to visit the Serengeti if you are visiting the Mara. That time would be best used to visit other parks in Tanzania.
Cheers,
Julian
