Hi Sara,

Just so you understand, the agents commission is built into the rack rate pricing. Just a ballpark figure, but for the 2 nights at Kings Pool, 1 night at Mombo and 2 nights at Royal Livingstone should be around $3850 pp for full rack rate. I find it hard to imagine that transfers from Maun to the camps to Victoria Falls would be more than $900 pp. I don't know what activities you could possibly do within a 2 night stay to justify more than an additional $250 per person cost. Therefore, I am having difficulty understanding why it would cost more than $5K per person at full rack rate.

Hopefully you are not also paying above rack rate for Singita and the remainder of your transfers.

Sara,

The sunset cruise is a standard activity as a part of the daily rate. They include the Helicopter trip? You need to chk with your agent on that and the specifics.

for $6500 pp for 5 nights, you could go to Zambia for double or even triple the time for the same price. sure it's not Mombo but the animals won't know that.

Hi Sara,
The River Club was a short drive from the falls and we had plenty of time to view the falls and we also took the 1/2hr helicopter ride which I highly recommend(not inc. in the rate) and the sunset cruise. We had two nts at the RC which is the minimum in my opinion, so if you only have one night, others here can recommend where to stay. We loved the RC because of it's unique design with chalets open to the Zambezi and our own private garden and lunch and dinner served on the lawn facing the river with hippos!

We stayed at Tongabezi, right next door to the River Club. We were there for 2 nights, with one day to see the falls and do the activities. It is about a 25 minute drive to the falls, so once you're there, it makes sense to do all your activities. It would be inconvenient to have to go back and forth.
