Sabi Sabi & Elephant Plains

Hi -

We are trying to plan our Safari in SA and Elephant Plains only has availability for 2 nights. Is it feasible/ok to do 2 nights at EP followed by 2 nights at Little Bush Camp (at the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Dimple

dimple,
i would rather stay in ONE place.
but as EP is half the rate of SS little bush you must decide budget related.

the sabi sabi product in all lodges/camps absolutely fantastic! you can't compare the lodge or little to EP which is more moderate (but not basic), they pack their cars (up to 9 pax!).
i would opt for EP luxury suites because the price tag is not that outragously more then the rondavels but the ambiance is much better.

still - the whole experience is different!

if you must watch your budget you can split as these lodges are all in close proximity. if you can afford it - opt for bush for 4 nts.

Hi there, with regard to this matter it depends upon whether you are looking for the highest quality game viewing or the best accommodation.
Elephant Plains is incredible for Leopard sightings look at this link. http://www.outdoorphoto.co.za/forum/...hp?photo=67984

This guy always goes to EP and gets some amazing sightings

Whatever you decide have a great time

the whole lot of sabi sands reserve is pretty famous for leopards - more or less also depending whether the lodges have agreed on short term trespassing for sightings.

Thanks so much everyone!

We have been quoted the following rates for a 4 night safari and a 3 night stay at Vic Falls...

$4890 pp incl. inter-Africa airfare.

The cost might go up to $5890 pp depending on availability.

My travel agent is currently trying to find availability b/w Djuma, Kirkman's & Sabi Sabi Little Bush...

Do the prices above sound ok? Any feedback on Kirkman's or Djuma?

dimple,
EP as well as SS publish their rates on the websites.
saa flights joburg-vic falls or livingstone are also published.

so whatever you chose (lodges, hotel and season/flights) you can easily track down the package.

hope that helps.

We stayed 4 nites at Little Bush and 3 nites at Selati in January.
We had a fantastic time and a great first time experience.
Something to consider is the direct flight FEDAIR has to Sabi Sabi's private strip. Its then only a 15 minute drive to the camp.
I would definely spend all 4 days at LB. The game viewing was fantastic.
